blocking and unblocking
Live Tech Support is available seven days a week.  You can reach us between the hours of 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. PST Monday - Friday.  We can be reached at 602-485-3366.  If you've lost your password, there is a $10.00 charge for retrieval.  If you need support for any other reason, the charge will be $20.00 per fifteen minutes.  Most matters are resolved within fifteen minutes.  We apologize for needing to charge for technical support, but the software is free, after all, and employing personnel necessary for support does not come for nothing.

There will be times when you are surfing the web during which you will come across sites not listed in our database that you would like to block. Likewise, there may be a time when you see a site has mistakenly been blocked. In either case, click on the appropriate link to view instructions on how to perform these tasks.

GLOBAL BLOCKING instructions

Follow the instructions listed {above} in blocking a site on your computer only. When you complete Step 6, you will be presented with a form from our web site. Filling out this form will allow you to submit a site to be reviewed for blocking from all users. The review process to ensure the site should be blocked usually takes us approximately two business days. Upon review, if it fits blocking criteria, it will then be blocked.

Note that you must be connected to the Internet to complete this step.

UN-BLOCK A SITE instructions

Master User mode allows for two methods to un-block sites. Parents can temporarily un-block the entire Internet for a viewing session, or they can permanently un-block sites by removing them from the list on a site by site basis.

Temporarily Un-Block A Site - You must log in to Master Controls to access this feature. On the System Settings/General tab of your We-Blocker Controls Window, there is a checkbox to temporarily unblock all sites. Clicking this checkbox will disable We-Blocker.

Permanently Un-Block A Site - You must log inMast to er Controls to access this feature. When you encounter a blocked site, and you know that this is a site that you want to un-block. Select the Activity Log tab and double click on the site's address you want to unblock. Next you will see a dialog box. Click Yes to accept the site as Un-blocked or No to cancel this step. This next screen shows you where We-Blocker logs your Custom Settings under the Custom Filtering/My allowed Sites tab. Your family will now have unrestricted access to these sites. If you decide that you would like to re-block any sites that you have removed from the list, you may submit them again.

Notes on Un-Blocking Sites

  • You must be connected to the Internet in order to un-block sites.

  • If you un-block a site that is blocked for more than one category, it will be un-blocked for all categories.

  • If you would like to permanently change a site?s category, you must un-block the site first and then submit it to a different category.
